Craftsmanship
“Performance starts with excellence in detail.”

“There are few easy successes, few final defeats.”
Jean-Paul Crabbe,
watchmaker of prototypes

Fascinated with motorsports from his earliest years, Bernard Richards took to watchmaking in order to express his fundamental drive, the racing spirit, through his creations.

In 2004 he met one of France’s best watchmakers, Jean-Paul Crabbe. Thus began what he calls
“lthe greatest collaboration of my life”.

From that day forth, year after year, the two men have ceaselessly turned out unique timepieces drawn from the automotive world, and later from the world of golf, to the purpose of offering their customers exceptional watches of artisanal craftsmanship.

History of our flagship models

GP44

The first B.R.M Chronographes watch, the GP44, machined with our first computer-controlled lathe, emerged in 2003 from a barn in the Vexin region of France.

V6 and V12

In 2004 the GP44 was joined by the V6 and V12 models, which even now remain the brand’s bestsellers. That same year one of France’s best watchmakers, Jean-Paul Crabbe, signed on for the adventure that is B.R.M Chronographes.

Birotor

The Birotor, the first watch on the market equipped with seven crystals and showing the clockworks from all six sides.

R50

The R50, the first watch with a floating movement, mounted on three carbon triangles.

V6 Triplette

The V6 Triplette, the world’s lightest three-hand watch.

MK44

The MK44, the world’s lightest self-winding timepiece. With its Makrolon® case and Fortal HR® back, and each part machined to within a gram’s tolerance, the watch weighs less than 50 grams.

RG46

The RG46 the watch of innovations.
This timepiece has an exclusive movement suspended on three shock absorbers and three vertical cylinders, along with a rotor mounted on ceramic ball bearings and a patented self-stopping inertial block.

V6 SA

The V6 SA — SA for shock absorber — is the world’s first watch to have a movement suspended on three, semi-recumbent shock absorbers, offering total freedom to drivers.

V12 SA

The V12 SA has a three-part, stainless-steel/titanium/stainless-steel sandwich structure. The unique construction of this timepiece, big sister to the V6 SA, enables racecar drivers to take on a 24-hour race or a grand prix in utter serenity.

DDF6 and DDF12

The DDF6 and DDF12 take their inspiration directly from the disc brakes of racecars. The titanium case of these emblematic watches is by itself a feat of engineering. The case’s center takes 3.5 hours to complete. A unique illustration of our French watchmaking skill.

GF6 and GF7

The GF6 and GF7, the world’s only self-winding watches fit for a round of golf. The movement, suspended on six shock absorbers, and the anti-racing inertial block ensure a golfer can tee-off without ever destroying the movement.

We are now operating with two production units: one manufactures mechanical parts at a workshop with 14 digital machines, and the second handles the mounting and finishing of the movements, lacquer, and encasing.

There are now more than 30,000 B.R.M Chronographes watches on the market, strapped to the wrists of the greatest racecar drivers and athletes on the planet, and I couldn’t be any prouder.

My gratitude goes to all of you who push us to new levels of excellence every day. Thank you for your trust.
