The technology equipping this watch
Six helical steel springs — three on the front face, three on the rear face — encase the movement and mechanically isolate it from the case. The calibre no longer rests on the case: it floats within it.
An automatic watch is not worn on the track: this is a horological dogma. The vibrations from a steering wheel, a racquet, aerobatic manoeuvres saturate a calibre within minutes — they misalign the pivots, fatigue the balance and ruin precision. B.R.M Chronographes rejected this dogma in 2014.
When an impact strikes the case, the energy is absorbed by the springs before reaching the movement. On the dial, the three front-facing shock absorbers remain visible: they are the hallmark of this innovation, and its visible proof.
