The Circuit du Val de Vienne was born from the meeting of motor sports enthusiasts and inhabitants wishing to develop their territory. It was born in 1990 and received its first competition in 1992. Since that time, every year, the major championships stop in Vienne. This fast circuit offers a 3,768m long route over a width of 11.4m. Its configuration incorporates several straight lines and allows high speeds to be reached. Renowned as one of the most technical in France, in 2008 it acquired the only feature it lacked, namely a high top speed. By connecting two straight lines in order to obtain a continuous acceleration of almost 1,000 meters, the maximum speed in the GT category exceeds 270 km/h. Now equipped, the Circuit Val de Vienne is one of the essential places for motorsport.
