watchmaker, is proud to announce its new partnership with a young talent: Maxime Martel

A JOURNEY FORGED BY PASSION Maxime Martel discovered rental karting in 2020, at just 12 years old. Very quickly, his talent revealed itself, and with it
was born a true obsession for motorsport. He became passionate about Formula 1 and seized every opportunity to get behind the wheel of a kart.

A decisive encounter changed everything: that with Julien Bourguignon, a rally driver, who became his coach and passed on to him the fundamentals of driving and competition. With his brother, Maxime acquired his first competition kart, marking the beginning of a two-and-a-half-year adventure of intense competition.

Quickly integrated into the KartInPro team, he discovered a demanding, formative environment, and secured several podiums and two victories. In 2023, he progressed to his first national races. However, for lack of budget, he had to bring his season and his karting career to a premature end.

A PROMISING RISE In 2024, Maxime embarked on a new stage of his motorsport journey. After convincing tests in FunCup, he approached the AMX team
to carry out trials in Caterham. Despite little training, his performances impressed: he was selected to take part in the championship the following season.

He made his first outings in Caterham during the finale of the French Championship at Nogaro, as a substitute driver in the Academy category. There he delivered a remarkable performance, fighting in the top 5. Increasingly solid training propelled him towards his 2025 season.

EVER MORE VICTORIES

In 2025, Maxime Martel is taking part in the French Caterham Championship, in the 340R category. He will face a field of 30 drivers, all highly competitive, with a clear ambition: to target podium finishes and win races.

For 2026, the objective is to move up a further step by entering the 420R category, the elite of Caterham France, with the champion's title firmly in his sights.

In the medium term, Maxime is considering joining the Ligier JS Cup programme in JS2R, a recognised pathway that enables the best drivers to access competitions such as the European Le Mans Series (ELMS).
