B.R.M Chronographes and Corvette Racing strengthen their partnership: When French watchmaking excellence meets American legend

A story of automotive passion initiated in 2015

in June 2015, B.R.M Chronographes, manufacture horlogère française réputée pour son racing DNA, s’associait à l’écurie américaine Corvette Racing. Cette collaboration a débuté autour de la Chevrolet® Corvette® C7.R, marquant la rencontre entre deux univers partageant les mêmes valeurs : la performance, la precision and taste for innovation.

Corvette: an emblem of American sportiness

Depuis son lancement en 1953, la Chevrolet® Corvette® s’est imposée comme une icône de l’automobile américaine. Considérée comme la première 'true' sports car développée par un constructeur américain, la Corvette a su évoluer au fil des décennies pour demeurer un symbole de power, de design et de technology.

• Heritage: 70 years of uninterrupted production, making the Corvette one of the oldest sports car ranges in the world.
• Track record: A reputation built around legendary models (C1, Stingray, ZR1…), inspiring generations of enthusiasts.

Corvette Racing: the reference endurance racing team

Since the late 1990s, Corvette Racing has embodied Chevrolet's official commitment to competition. The team has taken part in the greatest endurance races, in particular:

• The 24 Hours of Le Mans, where it has distinguished itself on multiple occasions with numerous class victories (including 2015, the year the partnership with B.R.M Chronographes was launched).
• The WeatherTech SportsCar Championship (formerly American Le Mans Series), a North American championship where Corvette Racing has accumulated titles and gained international renown.

Composed of seasoned drivers and supported by Chevrolet's expertise, Corvette Racing is one of the most successful teams in the GTE/GTLM category, thanks to its consistent performance and capacity for innovation.

Iconic watches inspired by Corvette Racing

To celebrate this partnership begun in 2015, B.R.M Chronographes developed a first collection of Corvette Racing C7.R watches, incorporating the emblematic aesthetic codes of the American marque:

• C7.R yellow for the hands and dials,
• Leather straps with stitching evoking racing harnesses,
• Crowns engraved with the 'Jake' logo, unofficial mascot of Corvette®.

Limited to 100 numbered pieces in two variants (yellow/black or black/grey), this series met with particular enthusiasm at its launch during the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2015, realised through the creation of two limited series of 24 watches (24H movement), a direct reference to the celebrated Le Mans race and to the two Corvette C7.R cars entered on the track.

Successive limited editions:

• Corvette Vintage Grand Sport: Two timepieces in a limited edition of 163 pieces each, paying tribute to the marque's historic models.
• C8.R Collection (2020): Four new watches, true to the spirit of the new Corvette. They feature the official colours of the C8.R, as well as the historic numbers 3 and 4 on the dial for the 24H models, representing the two cars traditionally entered by Corvette Racing.

2020: the advent of the Corvette® C8.R and a new B.R.M range

To accompany the launch of the Corvette C8.R, B.R.M Chronographes introduced a new collection of four watches in limited editions. These models perpetuate the tradition of the alliance between haute horlogerie and motorsport, whilst integrating the technological and aesthetic advances inherent to the eighth generation of Corvette.

Key features of the C8.R collection:

• Aesthetic features: Official C8.R colours, racing design, details evoking the world of endurance racing.
• Technical sophistication: 24H movement for certain models, materials combining lightness and strength, high-end finishes.
• Exclusivity: Limited series offered in very small quantities, reserved for enthusiasts of the brand.

By strengthening their relationship, B.R.M Chronographes and Corvette Racing establish themselves as two major players in international motorsport. On one side, the French horological manufacture affirms its expertise in creating watches of character with unique design, inspired by the circuits. On the other, the legendary American racing team extends its heritage on the track, supported by a partner sharing the same values of passion, performance and innovation.
