Paul Bocuse, young B.R.M contender

Paul Bocuse Jr, grandson of the French chef of the same name, has taken a different path to his grandfather. A motorsport enthusiast, he began racing in Junior (Rok and X30) in 2019 and progressed rapidly through the ranks. This young driver, an American resident, had a very promising 2021 season.

Part of the Speed Racing team, Paul Bocuse achieved very good results in karting at the wheel of his Redspeed. During the first race of the Skusa Winter Series meeting at Homestead-Miami, after gaining more than 20 places and setting the fastest lap in the race, he finished in 8th place. The following day, he moved up to 2nd in the pre-final, with a new lap record to his name, before holding onto this magnificent position in the final.

At the Florida Winter Tour in Pompano, Paul took pole position in Junior 100cc, won the pre-final after starting from 6th position and drove the point home in the final by finishing on the top step of the podium despite pressure from his rivals.

In Junior Rok, he followed an almost identical path: pole position, leader after the heats (3rd and twice 1st), winner of the pre-final and leading from start to finish in the final.

A fine season that the young Franco-American driver fully intends to repeat in the forthcoming events, with the aim of entering the Indy Series within 2 years.
