The component that stops the car, motionless upon a desk. The faces of the disc are satin-finished then chamfered by hand, bore after bore; the polished screw heads stand out against the black of the whole.
The cups, machined from bar stock, take the colour of the hands. Beneath the disc, the connecting piece bears the B.R.M signature and the numbered plate. Its workshop name, DDF, is that of a family of B.R.M chronographs: clock and watches share the same original design.
