Behind the ColorDrive collection lies the meeting of two French houses, each expert in its field. B.R.M Chronographes, an independent watchmaker recognised for its bold mechanical creations, and ODS Carrosserie, master in the art of automotive surface treatment and colouring. Together, they have combined their artisanal expertise to give birth to audacious timepieces, the perfect fusion of horology and the automobile.

A METALLISED DIAL LIKE A CAR BODY

ColorDrive is a collection with a unique rendering that highlights dials enhanced by a treatment identical to that applied to the bodywork of the finest sports cars. Meticulous polishing, high-precision paint spraying, intense metallisation — each stage confers upon these timepieces a unique brilliance and vibrant rendering. Like the bodywork of hypercars, the dials first benefit from an ultra-smooth hand-polishing, guaranteeing optimal adhesion of the paint. Then the shades obtained by a precise blend of colours and pigments are applied in several ultra-fine layers, using HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) spray guns. This technique confers upon the dials a play of dynamic reflections, varying subtly according to angle and lighting. Each shade comes to life, evolving between depth and brilliance, like the most prestigious bodywork. The dials are then enhanced by several layers of transparent varnish, protecting the paint whilst creating a spectacular mirror effect that captures and reflects the light.
